The Role
I really enjoyed this internship, it gave me great insight in accounting. PwC have been fantastic to deal with, and incredibly effcient. The training was brilliant and the people are very friendly and supportive. I was also paid well, and covered all my costs. Furthermore, I transferred my job offer from Edinburgh to London (which meant a further interview), and was swiftly offered a full time graduate job. The recruitment are the best I have ever dealt with. Top quality.
My collegues were very welcoming and supportive throughout my time at PwC. I made an effort to get to know them and they returned the effort. Everyone was incredibly friendly and collegues at all levels would stop to talk, from HR to recent graduates to Directors and Partners.
My managers and Senior managers were always there to help whenever I needed it and were always really happy to offer it too.
Always busy, but never overwhelmed with work - they found a perfect equilibrium for me and I was very happy with it.
I was given the appropriate amount of responsibility for the level I was at. When I started and I was completely new to the process and company the responsibility was low, but it grew as I developed in the internship, to the point where I was involved in proper client engagement.
The skills I have developed on this internship will be hugely beneficial when I start full time with PwC next September. I have developed my knowledge of business and its financials which is helpful this year whilst I am running several societies and events at university.
The Company
When I was in the PwC office the atmosphere was great, collegues were always offering coffee and water to each other, and every now and again we would all break out in chat and banter, but obviously it was a great atmosphere for hard work too - a good balance.
Internship went very smoothly and the recruiters were absolutely fantastic and the best I have ever dealt with. The feedback organisation was brilliant too.
I think they invested as much as they could have. We received a whole weeks worth of training at the start which we used throughout the remaining 5 weeks. The feedback for each project and the whole internship was very helpful too.

Got a job with them just where I want it! Fantastic.
The Culture
Yeah, all the interns met up for drinks occasionally after work, although it was difficult sometimes since we were normally working on different clients. We had a brilliant night out with all the Scottish interns at the end of the internship which was excellent.
I kept on living in my student flat in Edinburgh, so not much changed for the internship.
Pretty good night life in Edinburgh, especially during the festival which was awesome as usual.
There was a really good social group night out mid way through my internship which was awesome. There was also sport teams available.
