The Role
The week was really enjoyable, although hard work. I met lots of really nice people, and got to know the company better. It was a really worthwhile placement to participate in, and was a valuable experience.
We got to know the people running the event really well, and the other people on the Insight week were all really friendly.
The people running the week were fantastic, they provided help, support and advice whenever needed.
We were very busy during the week, we had full days of work followed by working on our projects in the evening in our spare time. However, we had plenty of breaks throughout the day and also had organized activities in the evening which meant we had enough time to socialize and relax.
This placement was more of an assessment centre, so we had responsibility to work on our projects by ourselves in our spare time, and the responsibility to organise our time for working on our projects, but other than that we spent most of the week completing activities which were organized by PwC.
The skills I learnt were invaluable for applying for internships and jobs, for knowing how to act in interview, learning how to network and developing my presentation skills. They were definitely skills for life.
The Company
It was a really fun and relaxed atmosphere, although intense and everyone knew we had work to do. In the assessed exercises there was a more serious atmosphere due to the nature of the exercises and the fact that they were being assessed.
Absolutely fantastically organized. I can't fault anything.
The company focused on developing our skills throughout the week, and afterwards provided a really thorough feedback document which was really useful for future development.

After the insight week, I was offered an internship for next summer which is really positive and I'm really looking forward to it.
The Culture
There were organized events every evening to allow us to socialize within the group, and I have also kept in contact with people I met on the insight week.
PwC covered all costs for the insight week.
There was no opportunity to explore the wider area, but the organized activities were really fun and we had a bar in the hotel, and other events which were good.
The whole week was organized, so we had no opportunity to do other things.
