The Role
M&G is a fantastic place to work, everybody is very friendly and willing to help you out with any questions you may have about the company and the industry.
Everyday I would contribute to the work of my team. Colleagues would rely on the work I was doing in order to advance their own.
I would have weekly one-to-one meetings with my manager to discuss my progress and what more I hoped to achieve. My manager would take an active role in helping me to achieve what I wanted.
There were days in which I would not have a lot to do, but only after my team had completed all the work that was needed from them. The vast majority of the time I had a lot of interesting work to do.
I helped to manage a process seeing millions of pounds a year worth of payments, so i had a lot of responsibility put on me.
After I left I decided to tailor my degree more towards the industry by taking accounting & finance modules. What I have learnt about the industry has proved extremely valuable.
The Company
Everybody was willing help each other out, a very friendly place to be.
The internship were structured very well, there were plenty of opportunities for learning more about the company and lots of social events were organised.
