The Role
I love the the very invetment-intense nature of my job, interacting with the market and experienced portfolio managers on daily basis. Everyday you can expect new challenges which engages me a lot with my role.
People in my team are very approachable, su[pportive and inspiring. We have team drinks every friday, we talk as friends outside of work.
The support is amazing as long as you are actively seeking, however, the fact is all the PM are relatively busy even though they are more than willing to help, you would know that you need to think before you ask, otherwise you would waste their time. So I am always innovative to look for a solution before I reach them for help, and as I mentioned, they are all much willing to teach you anything.
I felt overwhemled at the begining but as long as you are able to finish daily tasks quickly, you will have much enough time to justify what you wanna do, either get more involved into research or self-study. It is very flexible to allocate time at work.
At the begining, I had lots of responsibilities on operational and admin sides. Moving forwards, I have given and will ask for more responsibilities on the investment side. As I said, it is very flexible, it depends whether you really know how to grab the chance and you like to be occupied.
I believe the skill set I have been developing from my experience will be useful for me in the future taking up any job. And I also develop my finance and IT knowledge to a large extent
The Company
We are all very serious about jobs, but mixing of occasion giggles. Lots of discussions and client calls are going on in the office. The vibe is really nice becasue you feel more focused working within a professional environment.
I had handover and casual trainings at the beginning, but it is more like what you wanna experience than a set up structure of the year.
We are paid to sit in exams of various ranges of certificates, I am paid to sit in the IMF one.

We dont have pipeline to graduate scheme, and the staff structure tends to be quite stable. But I believe if you can leave a strong statement, you are liely to come back if they have vacancies!
The Culture
Everyone is nice and sociable. We have gone out a lot after work, and having a big Christmas event coming.
I would say it is quite costly regarding the salary. But in general, it is very expensive to live in london.
Amazingly bunch of opportunities!
