The Role
Hays is an amazing company to work for, allowing you to grow both professionally and as an individual.
The Hull office immediately accepted me into the team, helped me grow and even turned to me for help when needed.
There was always someone there willing to give the guidance as and when it was required.
At first I was averagely busy, but once I got into the stride of things, I was never short of anything to do!
I was left to manage the Yorkshire Region of a National contract - so a huge amount of responsibility
As I know I would like a career in recruitment, the skills and knowledge gained will definitely help with future career prospects - and also managing time/prioritising will particularly help with my final year studies
The Company
Extremely hard working, highly motivated team, but also enjoyed having fun and socialising out of the working environment
Hays knew exactly what needed to be done to ensure both parties got the most from the experience.
I was sent to London for 4 days to go through their extensive training programme - great experience and made me feel part of the company as I was treat the same as a new permanent member of the team.
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Extremely appealing - the promotional opportunies and training opportunities are extensive
The Culture
I very rarely came into contact with fellow students due to being based in different cities
Relatively fair compared to where I live now. Was still hard having to live off the wage and pay for eveything that was required - saying that, Hays salary still enabled me to do the things I enjoy and socialise.
Hull does not have a great reputation, but if you know where to go and where to avoid, you really can enjoy yourself just as much as elsewhere
Personally, I'm not an overly active person - i just enjoy socialising and spending time with my friends and family - other particular activities didn't really interest me.
