The Role
Very enjoyable. Well organized, challenging, and rewarding in terms of a learning experience.
The team was great. Everyone was welcoming and supportive. They were always open to questions and willing to help with tasks that weren't initially clear. A very fun work atmosphere.
Great mentorship. Constantly provided feedback and exemplified best practice.
There was a good balance of business. I was assigned long term goals/tasks which kept me busy when there was no short term/immediate work. I was able to complete my tasks, so this was clearly well judged.
I was assigned work which actually had a direct impact on the team, which was great to see applied at the end of my internship. I was able to attend any client/management meetings whenever my timetable allowed.
I developed core work competencies whilst I also gained tangible skills (e.g. excel and report writing) which I have used throughout my degree.
The Company
Fun and open, yet very conducive for good work.
All timetabling was done with plenty of time to raise any questions. All events ran smoothly.
Strong training in the induction week, but most beneficial training occurred at my desk with one-on-one sessions with other members of the team, and the allocated workshop sessions across different divisions at the bank.

The Culture
Yes, several socials organised by HR for all interns, but also internally within the different teams.
London, as expected, is rather expensive.
Although it is expensive, it has some of the best places to see in the country. Very easily accessed from the City.
Yes, several community events advertised, in which most interns were actually able to participate.
