The Role
I enjoyed working with people who were experts in the field of Computer Science and knew as much about the financial business too. I loved working in between the two.
I was given a project that would help my entire team and I was constantly approached by my team who kept a check on how I was doing.
The HR department was one of the best things about the internship. They were always just a message away and we had several events that were organised for the interns so that we could get to know more about each other.
It was a normal 9-6 job and I wasn't super busy, but, yes there were times.
I had a whole project to myself. So, I would say I had a lot of responsibility.
The technologies I coded in are helpful on me even today as they were state-of art and quite new to the firm as well.
The Company
It was quite formal. You could see people pushing themselves to work harder.
It was quite well structured.
We had training so a whole week, considering the internship was only 10 weeks long. I would say it was lot.
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
I have been given an offer to come and join Goldman after I graduate so, I would say quite appealing. You get to go to New York for 2 months for the initial training which is quite amazing I would say.
The Culture
Yes, everyone was working hard in the office and wanted to unwind at the end of the week. So, we would end up going to a bar or a pub every week.
It was a tad bit expensive for a student life but, if you work there then , its fine.
The office was right in front of St. Pauls. It had amazing bars.
Yes, I was involved in the Tennis club and the football club as well.
