The Role
I cannot begin to explain how intense but great the work environment was at Goldman. The hours were tough but the work was stimulating and being surrounded by people willing to give up their time to teach interns was exceptional.
I didn't necessarily feel valued in the sense of having an actual added value. Instead I felt valued for the potential I may or may not have and this gave me a great sense of responsibility and a desire to excel.
Practically every day in various ways.
Extremely busy because I enjoyed what I was doing. I was usually non-stop for 10-14 hours.
I study law hence the skills I developed will be of minor help. However, the professional skills and affinities I obtained will stay with me forever and will, without a doubt, prove important at some point in the future.
The Company
The timing, location and structure of the internship were impeccable.
The investment was considerable and as a result everz intern felt valued, which, not only was in the interest of the firm but also of every intern.
Company Car
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Very appealing.
The Culture
The internship was very intense but the best effort was made to facilitate meetings amongst interns and provide everyone with good opportunities to meet new people.
London is a fantastic place when it comes to Night Life.
Yes, sports events and dinners were organised regularly.
