About You
I thoroughly enjoyed meeting new people, learning about a role I previously didn't have experience in, and being given the opportunity to input into a range of projects.
The members of Business Change that I met made me feel welcomed and I was surprised how easily they donated their time to helping me progress. I would agree that the section, and the company, have a friendly atmosphere.
A good amount of guidance and support was given.
I have already used some of the analytical structure and approaches in my project work this year.
The Company
The internship scheme had an introduction week to bring everyone up to speed. There were further 'lunch and learn' sessions where you could meet the other interns and learn about each part of the company. It was a valuable chance to ask questions and hear other peoples thoughts. Within Business Change in particular, the scheme had two presentations for benchmarking, which helped to develop my public speaking.
Incredibly friendly and welcoming.
My manager was amazing, allowing me to shadow her to meetings and get a general understanding of the business. I was also lucky enough to go on a few projects, working alongside different members of business change, and take on some of my own small tasks.
Since noone was shy and it was encouraged that we ask questions and explore, the insight helped me hugely in exploring what it would be like to have a full time job at M&G.
M&G are flexible in where you would like to work; they accommodated for the fact that I didn't know what kind of job would suit me best. I was able to meet and discuss different roles with the relevant people.
