The Role
I am thoroughly enjoying my internship with Hay, I have been given a lot of exposure to many aspects of the recruitment industry and have learnt lots of new skills.
I feel very valued by my colleagues and management and feel that I have been trusted with important responsibilities.
When ever I have needed support there has always been someone I can turn to, however Hays also encourage people to take ownership of their own work and be able to work independently.
I have felt that the days fly by and after 2 weeks of being at Hays I became extremely busy which was great.
I was given the opportunity to manage projects on my own and be creative in improving processes in the team
My confidence has grown at Hays and I now have the ability to speak to people at all levels of authority. I have improved my organisational skills and have learnt how to manage a number of taks simultaneously
The Company
The office culture is very energetic and fun, there are always competitions going on which creates a good buzz across the teams
My internship was very well structured I had a clear plan of what I was doing daily/ weekly so I never got bored or run out of work to do
I did not get to experience the full training as the one year interns did however I recieved good on the desk training by my managers and was able to attend training days and meetings which helped with my knowledge and development

I have already had conversations about returning to Hays and I know that many other interns have also, so it seems as though there are many opportunities for future
The Culture
In our office there were lots of interns all of a similar age so we went on lots of nights out/ dinners etc which was great fun.
I was based in London so it can be pretty expensive however once you know where to go for lunch, nights out you can find very reasonable places to go
Amazing, there are plenty of bars, clubs, restaurants in london city to go to and explore
I did not get involved in many of the activities however there were lots of things going on like Netball, Football, Rugby and then different fitness classes and charity events to get involved with
