The Role
Enjoyed working in a business environment
Very flat structure, and never made to feel like a typical intern, always as a colleague
Open plan offices mean that it is easy to interact with everyone on the team and everyone is assigned a supervisor
Really busy.
You are given as much responsibility as your team feels you can handle
Invaluable
The Company
Can lack energy sometimes, but always friendly
Pre-start was very disorganised, and lots of paperwork to fill out, ages to wait in between interview and offer, and then offer and start date but upon starting, it was more organised, but generally, you sort yourself out
We received some training initially on an HR induction day, but little afterwards. You are expected to learn on the job or make time outside of work to develop your skills with the online learning tools (never had the time, but there is a great selection of training online).
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Above 25 days holiday
Working from home
Healthcare/Dental
Already have a job lined up elsewhere so not a priority
The Culture
Not really- interns start at different times, so if you sit on a team with only one or two interns, less likely you will socialise. People do drinks occasionally.
Hammersmith is reasonable for a location in London which is not too far out. Canteen is good.
Not somewhere I stayed out for long
Gym has good selection of classes, and there were opportunities to volunteer.
