  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I loved my internship as I got to learn a lot of new things that I could not do at University, also there was a group of interns so we could do things together.

  • I was given a lot of responsibility and many members of the business interacted with me for help.

  • My manager was great and was always happy to help me with any questions I may have.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I was very busy everyday and always had something to do but not so much that it was a panic. My manager always helped with managing my workload.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was involved in a wide range of financial tasks including producing reports for the senior management teams.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • It will be a great help as I would not have been able to learn these skills at University. I love my placement year and I am very pleased I made the decision to take a placement year.

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • The team worked well together and I got on with everyone in the office, there were many events organised where all the staff would be involved so it was a great opportunity to get involved with the staff members. My team would always help one another out wherever possible and I was never just left to struggle by myself.

  • During my induction period everything was well explained and set up for me so it was less daunting.

  • They put a lot of time and effort in to my development and offered several things to progress my learning.

  • I would love to work for the company after University and will be applying to the graduate scheme

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Yes all of the interns often did things together and many lived in shared accommodation.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Cheltenham is quite an expensive town to live in but it was still affordable.

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Nightlife was great - having gone to University in Cheltenham I already knew all the best places for a good night out.

  • Yes there were several work nights out etc.
