The Role
I loved my internship as I got to learn a lot of new things that I could not do at University, also there was a group of interns so we could do things together.
I was given a lot of responsibility and many members of the business interacted with me for help.
My manager was great and was always happy to help me with any questions I may have.
I was very busy everyday and always had something to do but not so much that it was a panic. My manager always helped with managing my workload.
I was involved in a wide range of financial tasks including producing reports for the senior management teams.
It will be a great help as I would not have been able to learn these skills at University. I love my placement year and I am very pleased I made the decision to take a placement year.
The Company
The team worked well together and I got on with everyone in the office, there were many events organised where all the staff would be involved so it was a great opportunity to get involved with the staff members. My team would always help one another out wherever possible and I was never just left to struggle by myself.
During my induction period everything was well explained and set up for me so it was less daunting.
They put a lot of time and effort in to my development and offered several things to progress my learning.

The Culture
Yes all of the interns often did things together and many lived in shared accommodation.
Cheltenham is quite an expensive town to live in but it was still affordable.
Nightlife was great - having gone to University in Cheltenham I already knew all the best places for a good night out.
Yes there were several work nights out etc.
