The Role
Was able to improve in areas I was not confident on, was provided with a large amount of responsibility and got a good overall understanding on how the business functions.
If people had problems that tended to come to me to look for possible guidance and tried to help me improve my experience as much as they could
As much support as you needed, as long as you ask. Even if they can't help you they know somebody that can.
Extremely. Never nothing to do, but also not too hectic that I was struggling to meet deadlines.
Involved in speaking to suppliers, organising events and being the lead in specific projects/problem solving challenges.
Helped me gain a better mechanical understanding which I lacked before coming to GE
The Company
Relaxed.
Partly well organised. GE recieve feedback from previous years to see where they could improve. There were a few challenges e.g. lack of training and took a while to get computers but overall ok.
They invested a lot. Eventually was able to go on several training courses, and also have a trip abroad coming up to speak to our suppliers.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
International Travel
Company Parties/Events
Extremely. There are a wide range of Graduate programs that you can go on which lead to employment after the completion of the grad programme
The Culture
We all get together on a regular basis for a relaxed/more social environment.
I travel to work via car but cost of living and socialising is still cheap in comparison to other areas.
Very good, there are universities in close proximity and also other towns with decent places to go
I am being involved in a wide variety of activities and if you show an interest in something they will guide you to the right place.
