The Role
Very much, The placement year was both interesting and exciting and kept me on my toes.
I was made to feel as part of the team and not treated like a placement student.
My manager was extremely supportive of me during my time at GE. He was a manager, colleague, advisor and counsellor all in one
Most of the time so busy, that I didnt know whether I was coming or going. Other times were extremely quiet
A lot! Is the simple short answer. However, the fact that I had support made my life much easier.
The wealth of experience gained in the industry is invaluable to final year and beyond. I wouldnt recommend going to the 3rd year of Uni, without a placement.
The Company
Surrounded by Project managers, sometimes felt a little overwhelming, but it was a good learning experience. As the people around you have an influence on your own character.
Reasonably well. I felt part of the company did work like others, came and went like everyone else.
The company are keen to invest in "their" people. You can progress as far as you want to go. The sky is the limit.
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
Working from home
I will definitely be applying for the graduate jobs at GE.
The Culture
Interns worked on a number of projects together and supported each other and were also supported by the graduates
No idea, as I have my own place nearby.
Not a night person.
a lot of volunteering events and high exposure to company executives.
