The Role
Very good. Many different opportunities and great networking sessions.
I was given a buddy, from a different team, who assisted me when I wasn't sure about things. The grad on my team was also very useful
Sat across the desk for my supervisor, had catch-up and updates with her every morning
it fluctuated between really busy and not too much work to do, so it was best to try and complete all work early to manage.
I was given responsibility for several projects and when my line manager left for holiday this increased significantly
Time management I learnt and work ethic is proving useful
The Company
Varies between teams, my team was great as there was a mixture of ages
training in first week, leaving party, volunteer charity day, mid-term social.
We had more than 10 seminars lead my Directors and Managing Directors on the role of the different functions and teams within our division.
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
very much so, slight worry about the job-security, but that's the nature of the industry
The Culture
London! great pubs and bars in Canary Wharf but also traveled from Canary Wharf into London
Yes, Barclays have many different affiliation networks (like societies) including many sports. I got involved with Basketball and Football
