  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I enjoyed the variety of work I was exposed to and the friendly culture at KPMG.

  • I felt very valued as I was given a huge amount of responsibility despite being an intern and my opinions were taken on board.

  • I didn't feel I had adequate support and the organisation of the scheme was below what I would expect from a company like KPMG.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Very on and off. Some days I was extremely busy and others, I had nothing to do.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was given a lot of responsibility which demonstrates the trust KPMG have in their employees

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I learnt excel and PowerPoint skills which will be very useful in my degree. Additionally, my communication skills were enhanced which is a very useful skill to have in life.

  • Very friendly and inclusive.

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Badly organised and when I arrived they were not even sure what to do with me. Took a week or two for them to sort out my internship.

  • I was able to take online courses on the KPMG portal which was useful.

  • Very appealing and it seems like KPMG give you the support you need to progress within the company.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Yes we had to organise the socials ourselves but we met up every Friday and sometimes during the week depending on everyone's schedule

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • London so very very expensive.

  • London so a wide variety of things to do.

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Yes in my first week I attended KPMG tennis and was able to network whilst there and build up my network.
