The Role
I enjoyed the variety of work I was exposed to and the friendly culture at KPMG.
I felt very valued as I was given a huge amount of responsibility despite being an intern and my opinions were taken on board.
I didn't feel I had adequate support and the organisation of the scheme was below what I would expect from a company like KPMG.
Very on and off. Some days I was extremely busy and others, I had nothing to do.
I was given a lot of responsibility which demonstrates the trust KPMG have in their employees
I learnt excel and PowerPoint skills which will be very useful in my degree. Additionally, my communication skills were enhanced which is a very useful skill to have in life.
The Company
Very friendly and inclusive.
Badly organised and when I arrived they were not even sure what to do with me. Took a week or two for them to sort out my internship.
I was able to take online courses on the KPMG portal which was useful.
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Very appealing and it seems like KPMG give you the support you need to progress within the company.
The Culture
Yes we had to organise the socials ourselves but we met up every Friday and sometimes during the week depending on everyone's schedule
London so very very expensive.
London so a wide variety of things to do.
Yes in my first week I attended KPMG tennis and was able to network whilst there and build up my network.
