The Role
For me, it was a complete pleasure to have the opportunity to make a Summer Internship at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, and after it I can say that it completely fulfilled my expectations and that I feel very proud and happy of having spent these months with the team at the Bank. I completely enjoyed the experience.
I felt really well valued by my colleagues. From the beginning, I was one member more of the team. They always tried to give me task according to my skills so that I could learn and improve, but they also always helped me with any doubts if it was necessary.
They gave me really good guidance and support regarding my tasks. They gave me ideas about how I could improve some aspects of my work, and also remarked the areas in which I was performing well so that I could make a proper idea about how I was performing.
I found the work load perfect for an Intern. Enough and challenging work so that I could learn and improve, but never too hard, difficult or huge so that I could feel overloaded.
From the beginning, I felt that my work was important and helpful. This aspect really motivated me to work hard and fulfill the expectations.
I honestly think that the skills the Internship at Merrill Lynch helped my to develope are incredibly useful in many other life aspects. Efficiency, attention to detail, responsibility, team working and accuracy are only some of the skills that I have improved thanks to this training, and I think that they are essential in many other life circumstances.
The Company
The general atmosphere at my office was perfect. I was incredibly comfortable there. Very happy with this aspect.
I found the internship set up appropriate and very well organized in general terms.
I think that Bank of America Merrill Lynch makes a huge investment in the Interns. This is something that impressed me in a very positive way.
Very appealing. And taking into account the general economic situation worldwide, this is something, this aspect is even more remarkable.
The Culture
We made volunteering actions and social events that help us to create a very good atmosphere among us.
Madrid is not too expensive taking into account that it is an European capital city.
Madrid has a very good nightlife.
Yes, Madrid is plenty of activities, and the Bank provided also the opportunity to take part in really attractive activities outside the work.
