The Role
The job role was ok, as the office is quite small it does get a bit repetitive
Colleagues were very supportive and offer advice on area's which i had limited knowledge on.
Senior management was very good at support and initially line management was very good. However the original manager left and was replaced with a non technical manager, who in my opinion was not suitable plus lack various management skills, which made my placement not as enjoyable as it was previous.
Like must things the job goes from being exteremly busy to very quite.
I was given a fair amount of responsibility to start with, however after the management change level of responsibilty Considerably dropped.
Some of the technology employed by the company has made me change my degree and area of study, due to I think it will be a growing business area in the future.
The Company
usually very friendly.
fairly well organisased.
Initial training was good but then reverted to online course which did not offer what practical experience does
limit within the initial placement, however there are possibilities in the wider company if their current financial situation improves.
The Culture
only a few on site, the main headquarters was alot more socialable for placement students.
Commuted from home, but would not live in the local area as it very undesireable, much placement students agreed.
Very poor
football during summer, but that all depended on munbers and the weather.
