The Role
I was extremely busy throughout my internship. The pace and variety of the work meant that the time I spent at ITG was interesting and exciting.
I was given the opportunity to take ownership of my own projects right from the start of the internship and felt that I was making a contribution to my department.
As well as developing technical skills such as database programming I also learned a huge amount about working in the financial sector and functioning as a part of a group.
The Company
The atmosphere was friendly but also very energized.
It was ITG's first time running an internship scheme and as a result the internship was less structured than it might have been. However this was no bad thing as it gave more opportunity for me to get involved in the work of my department .
Not much formal training was given but the on-the-job training and support was excellent.
Company Parties/Events
I've been invited to apply for the graduate program and have also been asked back to intern during the Christmas vacation.
The Culture
We were given lots of opportunity to socialize with the other interns and employees. The interns worked on a joint project together.
