The Role
I really enjoyed my internship at Lloyds Banking Group as I was valued by my colleagues as not just an intern but a member of the team. I was also given important projects and tasks which made my internship thoroughly enjoyable.
I felt very valued by my colleagues and everyone I met. Everyone had time to grab a coffee and explain to me their role and experiences.
Throughout my internship I was thoroughly guided and supported by not only my line manager but also my team leader and all other members of my team.
On a daily basis I was kept really busy with the project I was working on which didn't allow me to get bored and gave me a sense of worth throughout the 10 weeks.
I felt that I was given a lot of responsibility and accountability throughout my internship which allowed me to reach my full potential and made me feel valued.
I have taken the skills I developed back with me to university. They have allowed me to be more productive with time-managing my days and have given me the confidence to hand out accountability, roles and responsibility during society meetings,
The Company
The general atmosphere was friendly but also efficient. Everyone had time to talk to me but no one seemed to be wasting any time.
My internship was well organised in terms of my 10 weeks at the Lloyds Banking Group although I felt that some elements could have been organised better such as the Charity Challenge for interns.
Lloyds Banking Group invested a lot of time and effort during my 10 week internship which allowed me to reach my potential. In particular, I travelled up to Edinburgh to meet the rest of my team.

Working from home
Future employment prospects are appealing and I have been offered a place on the graduate scheme next year.
The Culture
I believe there was a really good social scene amongst the interns/scholars that stayed in the provided accommodation but feel there could have been more for those that didn't.
Quite expensive - as it was central London.
Good but quite expensive.
Aside from Charity Challenge events and meetings, there weren't that many opportunities outside of work to get involved in.
