The Role
My first two weeks were very slow as there wasn't much for me to do, It slowly picked up but this was mainly monotonous work.
My line manager and team member appreciated I was there to cover their work and add some input into projects.
My line manager and team member were very supportive and made it known that I can ask them for help. I had weekly 1:1 session with my line manager and we looked at my objectives and what I wanted to get out of the placement
I did not have many tasks so was not busy most of the time
I was given my own project to create which I had to pitch to my line manager's supervisor which was a really good experience. My project was rolled out in every Halifax branch in the UK in Oct 2014.

The Company
Everyone was friendly and family orientated and hardworking.
I do not think a proper plan was in place for me before my arrival.
We had webinars that was to do with different aspects of banking. Although most of them were uninteresting, there was one that stood out which was about banking basics, which I found very insightful.
Appealing, just in a different division. I liked the work culture the organisation had.
The Culture
Yes we organised socials amongst ourselves quite often
Accommodation was free as it was provided by the company. Travel was £25 a week which wasn't too bad.
I do not care about nightlife.
I was involved in an intern charity challenge with other students on placement to raise money/awareness for Lloyds charity of the year.
