    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Not only my assigned manager but other team members were supportive, allowing me time off to shadow in other areas, and giving impartial advice about graduate career options.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Although it varied from week to week, I was overall busy enough that I was never bored but never overwhelmed. I was comfortable feeding back to my manager if I ever needed more or less work.

  • This internship had helped me decide what type of job I would like after university and I still speak to people within LBG for advice.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Quite relaxed and social, but quiet enough I could concentrate on work. I always felt free to get up and grab a coffee or go and chat to people without asking my line managers permission

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • There were formal guidelines for assessment, personal objectives and training. There was also an opening and closing event and regular events throughout for interns only.

    4/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • We were given large travel budgets so we could travel to other offices to gain insight into other parts of the business.

    5/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Flexi Time

    National Travel

    Company Parties/Events

    Working from home

    4/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • I have been offered a position in the graduate scheme and I expect I will take it.

    5/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Interns who were not from the placement city lived together in accomodation much like halls. This made it really social even for myself, who was living at home, as almost everyone was in one place. The graduates were also social and we often went out with them.

    5/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Accomodation was paid for by the company on top of the wages we received. Bristol is also an affordable city to live in as most things are within walking distance and there are plenty of cheap/free events such as summer food festivals and free entry clubs.

    5/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • There's a huge variety of nightlife in Bristol.

    5/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • There was an optional fundraising challenge which meant we were involved with things such as abseiling and sports tournaments.

    5/5
