The Role
It was an amazing experience in which I was given plenty of support and encouraged to take on more responsibility as and when I felt able to.
Employees within the bank made every effort to make feel involved and actively invited me to meetings and group sessions to keep me informed.
Manager was fantastic - incredibly helpful!
Daily tasks varied but I was given a project that I was asked to complete within my time at the bank which kept me quite busy.
It was up to me to be proactive in finding processes where efficiencies can be achieved, and find tasks that would enhance the customer journey.
The skills you gain prepare you for the qualities they look for in their graduate scheme students and therefore you feel a lot more comfortable applying for their grad roles.
The Company
Great, supportive atmosphere in which new ideas are welcomed and encouraged!
Really well organised from the initial welcoming session in which you get to know the other interns, the charity day and overall expectations of the internship.
You have a buddy assigned to support you during your internship, as well as a structured learning outcomes booklet informing you what you should know and by when.
Financial Bonus
Very appealing - They usually let you know within a month whether they feel you are suitable for their graduate roles.
The Culture
There are a few planned organised events in which you can get to know the other interns.
Fairly reasonable.
Pretty good.
