The Role
Enjoyed opportunity to travel to different offices.
On one or two occasions felt as though I wasn't thanked or appreciated by some team members. On the whole though, colleagues made me feel very valued despite limited experience.
Excellent, couldn't have asked for any more support. People always approachable or a phone call away and more than happy to help me.
I was busy most of the time after week 3, when I had proven to colleagues that I was capable. I was also used to cover staff absence so when people were away I was considerably busy, juggling many responsibilities.
I felt as though I could've taken on more responsibility if team members were more willing to let go of projects.
Invaluable work experience. Picked up many skills that are transferable to many work environments. Also had the opportunity to lead a charity project.
The Company
Downbeat, nothing special. Office was dated, lack of energy among staff. However everyone was friendly.
Pretty well.
Excellent exposure to management, felt that I got more exposure to management and a lot of people than normal colleagues. There were also two conferences and some webinars - these were average. Work experience and networking was excellent and placement was tailored to my interests and I was pushed to achieve.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
National Travel
Not for me. Lots of opportunities are there though.
The Culture
Average. No organized events. No young people in the office apart from placement students. Took 2-3 weeks before I became friends with people.
Cheap. Accommodation in Leeds was paid for.
Decent. Lived in Leeds. Trips to London. Both have excellent nightlife.
Charity challenge was about it. This was fun though and helped interns to mingle.
