The Role
It was varied, challenging at times and good experience.
Immediate colleagues knew what was in my role valued me. Some people didn't realise what I did and therefore couldn't value my input properly, until I did some work for them and they understood what I did
My particular manager and his team were really helpful. They helped me to understand why I was doing a task which made more sense
Some days I was rushed, other days it was quiet then a rush would start late afternoon. There was never a period where I had nothing to do!
I found that the more the year passed, the more responsibility I gained. I think it is down to showing you can handle it and managers will give you more.
The year has helped me to understand more about a multi-national business and has changed my views on some things.
The Company
Good, because it was sales some days it would be quieter than normal, but on the whole, everyone was really helpful and full of advice
Students have a large say in decision making and help to run the assessment days. Managers do value their students.
Training courses do exist but the vast majority of these are optional. Develop more just be listening and watching people on a day to day basis.
