The Role
When I had work to do it was good, far too much time spent bored and underworked.
There wasn't enough work for me to do so I was a bit of a spare wheel really.
Not much, although it wasn't really his fault because he had no work to give me.
Barely at all 2/3s of the time, when doing my project I could fill a day ok.
Pretty much zero, I wasn't asked to do anything apart from my project for uni
Not a huge amount but actually being in a lab helped to a certain extent.
The Company
Downcast, everyone was being made redunant as the company was moving so people stopped caring that much.
It would have been great had the people running it ensured I actually was given stuff to do.
They said a lot but did very little, anything outside of working in our group was useless corporate fluff.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Above 25 days holiday
Working from home
I wouldn't go back no matter how much they payed me.
The Culture
Everyone got on well, there is plenty of time for socialising and everyone tends to live fairly close together in Macc
Fairly standard, expensive for the north but nowhere near what you'd pay in the south.
Appalling. You could venture into Manchester but its a pain in the arse getting home again.
A decent amount if you looked for them, can't really complain.
