    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Some really enjoyable projects to work on and, of course, as part of a sports company a great culture to work in, including some great freebies.

  • Very much so.

    3/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Varied.

    3/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • A great deal more than I expected; I compiled and sent the weekly email which went to 350,000 subscribers and had some really good graphic based tasks to complete for large scale events.

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Not particularly linked to my degree, however, I definitely see a career in marketing now.

  • Relaxed and casual.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Disney, who own ESPN, employ many interns but don't offer any training or courses to them as they're only there for a year. eg - I was declined courses in Rosetta Stone language software that full time employees were offered.
