The Role
For the most part I enjoyed my time working at CRUK, however at times I was left a little frustrated!
I felt that certain members of the team valued the work we did and time that we gave up to support CRUK and the team. Others however I felt did not value the time we gave at all
Support was always there from my line manager as and when I needed it.
During September and October I was very busy working on events. However, in November this became very quiet as all the events had come to an end
A lot of responsibility was given which was a good thing
As I will not be going into events, the skills wont really be put to much use, however, you never know when this comes in handy!
The Company
Very dependent on the day, generally quite bubbly and fun, however other times you could feel the stress
Could be much more structured and varied in terms of what the interns are used for, instead of being there to ease workload
A fair bit
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
National Travel
Although it is appealing as a company, I will not be pursuing a career at CRUK
The Culture
Very good - socials were constantly being organised and there was always a good turnout!
More than was expensed
Very good - Angel is a young and buzzing area to go out in
Yes - every other weekend there was another event or opportunity to volunteer!
