The Role
Overall a good experience
I was made to feel very valued by my line manager and immediate team
My line manager spent a lot of time giving me support and guidance, as did her manager
The workload was generally very good, however there were a few times when my manager was away and I had nothing to do.
Due to the small team I was working in I was not given much managerial responsibility. But was good in terms of responsibility for tasks/work
Very valuable lessons learned in the way a large business operates
The Company
The office atmosphere was generally good, but being placed up in Edinburgh meant that I was away from the head offices in London where the majority of the business is based.
Didnt find out where/what my placement would be until a couple of weeks before it started.
By running the programme itself a large investment is made in the interns
Got a referral onto the graduate scheme
The Culture
There was but it was down in London, so I was only able to get involved on the occassions I had travelled down.
Edinburgh is pricey but I go to uni here so im used to it
Edinburgh festival was on at the same time. Enough said
