The Role
My time was very enjoyable and I have built many a professional and social relationships as well as being given a lot of responsibility.
I have felt very valued by most members of the team but often found that my successes were not fully recognised.
I was left to learn the role almost completely independently with guidance only when persistently asked.
It varied as some days I would be over run with work, meetings, calls etc. but some days were much less busy.
All Disney interns are given the responsibility of a permanent member of staff in their job role and have the freedom to make decisions based on their own views and opinions. I often feel like I have been given a great deal of creative freedom and feel empowered to make important decisions independently.
I have learnt a lot about how to behave in an office environment and how to conduct myself in a professional manner which will be extremely useful in the future. In regards to transferable skills, Disney is very different to many businesses so I have learnt a wide range of skills, but I am unsure as to whether these skills will be applicable in future rolls with other companies.
The Company
As you would expect the Disney office to be, generally upbeat, friendly staff, Disney products everywhere, very laid back.
The HR side of things was very well organised. The training and settling me in was not so well organised and could have been improved considerably.
Most personal development was left up to me but I was occasionally asked what I would like to be involved with and was then included in those projects.

I would love to work for Disney as it is a really positive place to work with a wide range of business areas to explore.
The Culture
A large group of interns occasionally took part in social outings, but we did have a fair amount of team dinners etc.
London has been a very expensive place to live!
The best!
Not very many.
