The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed working at Disney, it is such a nice relaxed environment! I feel I learnt a lot through this process.
They appreciated all the workload I took off of them and treated me immediately as one of the team
They helped me get to grips with all the systems and answered any queries I had, we also had weekly team meetings.
It depends on the time of year and time within the financial quarter. In the weeks after Quarter Forecast or Close i was busiest, due to being part of the regional team, consolidating information together. However, I was always kept busy.
I was trusted to complete projects and pieces by myself, that would presented to the VP of finance and head of Disney Media Distribution for EMEA.
My excel skills developed greatly, through a lot of practice. This should help me with finance modules at university and a finance career in the future.
The Company
Always very happy and relaxed, as you can imagine working at Disney. People are willing to talk to each to each other and help each other out.
Very organised as interns have been coming to Disney for years now. However, due to a change in boss recently, the tasks in my role have greatly changed.
I don't believe they have invested in any personal training and development for the interns at Disney.

They like to employ within the organisation, and i currently work with a few previous interns who have been invited back permanently after completing university.
The Culture
Yes, as there are so many interns- there is always something happening. Especially if you share housing with fellow interns.
I lived at home, so travel cost quite a lot. Socialising is more expensive than university in the midlands. However, Hammersmith is probably cheaper than other areas in London.
Good amount of bars, although not very buzzing. Interns mostly go out in central though.
There is a volunteers programme, although there is nothing else I have seen that I can get involved in, which is a shame.
