The Role
Probably one of the best placements you could ask for!
My colleagues highly valued my opinion despite being just an intern and they actively involve you in team decisions.
The managers are extremely supportive during the whole placement year looking to help you to become a well-rounded individual to prepare you for your career.
Very active everyday with new and different tasks daily.
high responsibility as I had to provide vital business information daily as well as interview and select my replacement as well!
I developed self-confidence in approaching external clients and colleagues higher up in the hierarchy as well as the ability to think on my feet when job requests came in for the team to complete. I received a lot of training on how to improve my analytical skills through the use of Microsoft excel and general business attribute which has fully prepared me for my final year at university and to get my foot in the door for my future career.
The Company
the atmosphere was very energetic and friendly which allowed me to maximise my working ability.
very organised with a planned structure on how I would develop throughout my internship along with appraisals and reviews to track my progress.
The company invested a lot of time to ensure that we were developed in all areas of the business not just the area we worked in. This included one-on-ones from my manager as well as just intern development.
Subsidised Canteen
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Above 25 days holiday
There is a big driven within Disney to hire back the interns which completed a placement year within the company as they see this as an influx of potential talents and ideas for the future.
The Culture
Yes, there was a social group form which organised events throughout the year to interact with other interns. There was also department social get-togethers which gave an opportunity to meet other members of the department.
Being in London, the cost of living is always high but the benefits of living in the capital outweigh that cost. The social aspect of the area I worked in was probably the best in the country.
Amazing as London has so much to offer.
yes, there are plenty of out of work activities to chose from both done with work colleagues and outside work.
