The Role
Fantastic opportunity to gain real responsibility in the working environment, however, would have enjoyed more client face-to-face contact.
My team from senior management to other analysts provided constant support throughout the year. Enhanced my learning from day one, allowed me to develop on my own whilst supporting through my mistakes. I was made to feel like every aspect of my work that I did was of real importance.
Support was always there - from my team leader, commercial managers and development managers. If I had any kind of issue I could arrange a call or meeting to resolve it.
Always had work to do, there was always an opportunity to add my poiint of view and add value to the team. Working in a finance/commercial based team, work levels varied depending on the monthly cycle.
I expanded the role I was given to the point that I became the Finance first point of contact in my area - RFS Projects. I transformed procedures and processes, improved efficiency of projects, and the auditability of the account. I became a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and ran meetings on a weekly basis.
Provided me with desire to develop as a rounded individual.
