The Role
I really enjoy my work placement, I like it more and more every week! It has beaten my expectations and willl be sad to leave.
Everyone is really friendly and you get a good amount of responsibility which gives you confidence and grows your ability. The team are always supporting you and want to help you get the most out of the time you have on placement.
We have regular catch ups on a weekly basis where we review what I have on, what else I would like to be getting involved in and to answer any questions I may have. I do however get support / guidance throughout the day but catch ups are good to run through objectives and focus on things that I may want to particularly talk about in more detail.
Very busy! You are given a good amount of work and also can make your job your own. There is always something for me to be getting on with.
Quite a lot which is really good for confidence, extending your knowledge and building skills. I didn't realise the amount of responsibility you would be given but it has been really benefical.
It had already helped give me direction in which path I want to take in my career and has given me an idea of what I would like to do my dissertation on. I feel I have learnt more in the space of 6 months than my time at uni! Seeing and being in the real world really makes things a lot clearer!
The Company
Fun, helpful, friendly and positive! Thre is a general buzz, its a really nice atmosphere to work in.
Really well organised.
You are an intergral part of the team so I would say a lot.
Company Parties/Events
Appealing. I would apply for a job at Disney once I have graduated
The Culture
Really good social scene. There are about 10 interns on my floor, we all get on really well and regularly have social events / gatherings together.
Fairly expensive but it's in london!
Hammersmith isn't far from soho / leicester square which has a great night life.
Yes, from volunteering to work events as well as sporting activities.
