The Role
There were so many opportunities to get involved in projects and so much responsibility preparing you for an entry level job when you finish your degree. My team were so welcoming and helped guide me through the year.
I received excellent comments from my colleagues of all levels. It is great that they look towards your personal development and sit down for regular one to ones to discuss your progress.
I had various managers during my time at the company and each one had a different management style which reflected where I was in my year in industry. I was confident in my role due to having people to go to for any questions and advice I had.
I had daily tasks to complete and this often kept me busy. Outside of these there were peaks and troughs of projects for me to work on but I was always able to ask for work if I needed more.
I managed my own work load and was given responsibility of many different tasks. These tasks weren't monitored by anyone else and so I had sole ownership.
The experience I have gained is invaluable to complete my studies and I am now fully aware of what type of role I wish to go into on completing my degree.
The Company
The atmosphere is friendly and light-hearted. Although the department is incredibly busy there is always time for a chat with your team and a catch up about the weekend. It makes work a very good place to be.
The placement and role was already set up in a very functional way and this meant that I was able to get straight into the role and understand fully what was expected of me. There was also the chance to add to the role in ways that I thought would be appropriate.
There isn't a great amount of external training on offer to this role but there is always opportunity to find ways to learn within the business.

Depends entirely on what positions are available at the time.
The Culture
There is a great opportunity to socialise with fellow placement students and colleagues.
London is very expensive to live and socialise in.
Hammersmith has a few bars and restaurants but is not known for its nightlife.
I got involved in some volunteer work with the company that allowed me to go outside and help various groups of people. You have to seek these opportunities.
