The Role
Was a very interesting year but experiences and opportunities varied greatly depending on which department you worked in and which managers you working with,
I was lucky to work and have an extremely good rappor with my managers and peers.
It was sometimes hard to get in touch with personal development managers, but there is a very tight support structure in place meaning that you always have the chance to have meetings and catch up with managers.
Was generally busy although a number of the tasks were very repetitive on a daily/weekly cycle.
Over the year my responsibility within my department grew greatly once I had gained the trust of my peers.
Have picked up a number of transferable skills, mainly people management skills which I will value for the future.
The Company
Was a very social office and everyone got on well together.
The year was well structured and organised although experiences compared to collegues varied greatly.
They mainly invested enough to push the company image and make you want to return in the future, but at times this was limited.
Financial Bonus
For business management side which I am interested in they are extremely limited.
The Culture
The social side was the highlight of the year, from having 60 placement students based in the same location there was always something going on.
Relatively cheap area living in Portsmouth. Rent was extremely well priced.
Was very limited, I wouldn't recommend Portsmouth nightlife to anyone.
There were some, I was involved in Sunday Football and also other football clubs, but a lot of this was off my own back.
