About You
Very interesting to be able to actually get involved in the work that was being done, go to client sites and not only see first hand what was being some, but be able to take part in the work too.
Being able to get involved in actual projects with people on the grad scheme and higher made me feel very valued
I felt supported by HR, the people that I was working with and also the manager that I was shadowing.
Gave me an insight into different areas of what I areas I am suited to
The Company
The manager I was shadowing had a very clear set out plan for each day, going to different client sites and taking part in a variety of work
Everyone was exceedingly friendly and helpful with any questions that I had. Each employee would offer to help or go out of their way to help others. The general environment at the company was something that majorly attracted me towards Pwc over other companies
Each day I spent a significant amount of time with people on each client site with them explaining to me what they did, what the client did and what services they supplied for the client. This made me feel like the company were investing time and energy into me which made me feel valued.
The week was realistic, it was a week of doing actual work that I would've been doing if I was actually employed by the firm.
What I learnt about the company culture during this week was a major factor in my decision to apply to PwC grad scheme over any other firm.
It made me decide that I wanted to apply to the grad scheme
Everything Else
It was made clear right from the start that I was going to be paid and also reimbursed for any travelling.
Each day I had the opportunity to meet different employees from various client sites who were all working on different projects
No social events occurred during the week
Yes, employees said that there were certain clubs and society's that you could join when you became part of the firm
Yes, it was a very enjoyable week, one which gave me a good insight into the work and the people within the firm. I ended up enjoying the week so much that I applied and got offered a graduate scheme.
