    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • During the 'Shadow a Female Leader Programme' I closely shadowed a senior employee at PwC, as well as the team she was leading. I got a great feel for how a project is run, the culture and way of doing things.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • The Director I was shadowing as well as the team explained the project thoroughly and made me feel like part of the team from the start. Although (being an insight) I wasn't able to do any work, I sat in on all meetings with both internal and external stakeholders

    5/5

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • The HR team were very helpful at the start. The team I sat with were very busy but able to answer any questions I had. There were lots of resources on line which I was able to access. There was not much official guidance but this may be down the the nature of shadowing (where the work is unique to the team and part of the project they're currently working on)

    4/5

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I gained sufficient commercial and industry awareness through asking questions, reading online resources, sitting in on client meetings. May not specifically help with degree studies but

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • No particular structure as it was a week of shadowing

    3/5

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • Good, the team was very busy but happy to help me

    4/5

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Even though I was only there for a week I was given a laptop with login details and a personal profile was made. As previously mentioned there were many online resources including industry specific training as well as health and safety and company specifics

    4/5

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • I would hope quite well - although only a week I got a good taste for different roles within a team, different levels of seniority at the firm and different degrees of technicality involved in a role Speaking to other team members helped me see different career paths within the firm and what opportunities it has to offer

    4/5

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?
  • Moderately. If the insight was longer (2 weeks instead of 1) it would be good to have a more official overview of the firm and what graduate training might involve, progression through the firm etc

    4/5

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?
  • Great to see what projects involve and how they are structured, opportunities available

    5/5

    Everything Else

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?
  • I was paid

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • Not really outside the team

    2/5

  • 13. How were the networking/ social event opportunities?
  • N/A

    3/5

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?
  • Yes - through intranet sites and asking team members

    4/5

  • 15. Would you recommend this insight to a friend?
  • Definitely
