About You
It was a thoroughly enjoyable and insightful week with PwC, crystallising in my mind my desire to join the firm.
I was surprised by how involved and included I felt at both internal and external meetings, with my leaders ensuring I was aware as to what was going on and asking if i required further clarification on any matters.
I was able to ask as many questions as i wanted and i was always provided with detailed and relevant responses, in line with my level of knowledge.
The skills I gained are proving to be very useful as I have now accepted a full time position with the firm. The insight week gave me a head start in many respects so that when i joined i was already familiar with some aspects of the work and company culture.
The Company
It was well structured but still enabled flexibility where necessary.
it was an atmosphere of helpfulness, positivity and genuine keeness to ensure i was never left in the blue as to what i ought to be doing.
I was able to shadow 2 senior members of the audit team and attend several important senior meetings both internally and with clients. For this i was highly grateful and appreciative of the opportunity.
It was a great way to discover what a full time position would entail. Having since started a full time position with the firm i can look back and see that the insight week was truly helpful and informative.
Being in the office and interacting with staff was a great way to understand the company culture. Attending social events too was a thoroughly enjoyable way to meet others from the firm and expose me to other aspects of the company.
It was highly valuable, enabling me to ask as many questions as i wanted to without feeling uncomfortable. I would thoroughly recommend the insight week to anyone considering a career with PwC as it truly is a unique way to gain invaluable insight into the day to day functionning of the company.
Everything Else
I was paid £300 for the week, which i found to be sufficient.
i particularly enjoyed the social event i was invited to where the entire audit team of one client went for lunch. this was a great way to meet others from all levels within the firm in a more relaxed environment.
Very enjoyable and useful to both meet others from the firm and understand more the company culture.
There were various methods of finding out about other activities, be they sport related, charity work or other activities.
Thoroughly. I cemented in my mind that i wanted to pursue a career with PwC and the scheme truly appealed to me due to its uniqueness and differentiating factor from many other professional services firms.
