The Role
An invaluable experience, the most useful and productive part of my university degree.
The culture within the business was professional but relaxed with a very flat hierarchy. I would talk to Directors and the GM on a day to day basis, I never once felt as if people were looking down on me as a student.
Work load varied, some days/weeks would be really busy, some would be quiet.
Lots! Reporting sales/marketing materials throughout the business, to sales, finance, marketing and demand personnel brought responsibility, particularly when reporting to directors of the business.
I developed skills that allowed me to go back to uni and perform on average 5% better than I had in both of my previous years. Improved; punctuality, organisation, work ethic all helped.
The Company
as aforementioned, relaxed with conversation easy to come by.
the placement had been running for a number of years so there was a clear and well defined role for me.
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Above 25 days holiday
Working from home
The Culture
really close to London, many working in the office live in London and commute, Windsor and Maidenhead are also nice local towns.
I went to watch Chelsea, Went to Go Ape, and attended a number of lunches/dinners with the sales teams. All good socialising events!
