The Role
I had an excellent time working for EC Harris and recommend it highly.
Everyone that I worked with during my time there were very open and approachable. This made it easy to ask question and allowed to me settle into the environment. When working on projects with my colleagues it felt as though I was working with them instead of just completing the tasks I was assigned.
I had a direct supervisor as well as a "buddy" to show me around and help me settle in. The structure is set up so that every group has a team leader and therefore even if you change sectors to work on different projects there is always the support if you need it.
The amount of work I had to do on a day to day basis depended on what projects I was working on. Towards the end of my placement there was a lot of work to be done to come to the end of the project.
Once I had settle in, I was handed more responsibility and played a bigger role in the projects i was a part of
I value the skills I gained from my time here very highly. It will help a large amount with my degree and also increase the strength of my CV
The Company
there was a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere in the office. The was no allocated seating instead the office used "hot desking" so it was very easy to interact with the people around you.
The was a delay from my interview to the beginning of my placement due to people being on holiday but once it had begun everything was planned out and they had a laptop and log in card ready when I arrived.

very appealing, the company has a very good graduate scheme and they seemed genuinely interested in my future with the company.
The Culture
the company tries had to make it a very social experience and as easy as possibly to get along with people. There was a free bar on wednesdays and thursdays designed as a place for people to relax and interact with people you wouldn't normally talk to.
I lived at home and commuted. The office was in central London so prices were high but the restaurant was subsidised
since it was central London, there was a lot of places just a short journey away as well as a bar in the office
there were team social events run every so often and I got involved with a 5 a side football leauge
