The Role
It wasn't what i expected a placement to be like even if i was only on customer service it was so much like a real job with responsibility ect this was my first placement and insight into work and it was a really good place to start
They were really nice but we didnt see each other out of the placement over than two of them around university like just saying hello
My manager was helpful but the support from supervisors was really good
As it's customer services it was normally local customers ringing up but there was never a half an hour the phone wouldn't ring and other then that we had to make the coffee up for the machine and clean around our desk.
I suppose a lot i answered most calls so got bonuses etc which was always handy
They were such different skills i didn't even know you got taught skills on how to answer a phone or what to say ect as well as a manual and computer skills which yeah defiantly something different and a very useful skill
The Company
It was actually amazing seeing as most people worked really long shifts after uni so that was a good side they were always up for a laugh and joke around when nobody rang up and needed help.
very good if there wasn't phone calls there was emails if there wasn't emails there's coffee and tidying around to be done
A lot like a phone manual a new phone contract a computer manual training once a fortnight for first few weeks
Subsidised Canteen
Financial Bonus
I'd look into to it as its a good job to have if you don't really like seeing many people
The Culture
As most of them were students it was a good vibe no big serious hassle
I'd say bang in the middle really it didn't change from before placement or university but because it wasn't a part time thing like Id be at work after uni nearly 3 days then my day off from uni I'd be in work for 11 hour shifts so socialising was around placement and in it
The nights i got out were brilliant Its were i met my beautiful fiance so I couldn't ask for anything better from that
Different things like doing advertising in towns and lots of other things
