About You
I really enjoyed this event as there was a great mix of group tasks, presentations, and time to relax and meet other people.
I felt very valued by Pwc during the academy; you could tell they were really investing in you by the number of Pwc representatives there and also by the fact that we got to meet Senior Partners on several occasions who really took an interest in our questions.
I felt the level of guidance and support was good in that we were given a lot of flexibilty and room for creativity on the group tasks but at the same time had enough guidance to understand what we were supposed to achieve.
This event enhanced my understanding of working for Pwc more than it developed my personal skills. Nonetheless I feel this will be useful in making future decisions.
The Company
The insight was incredibly well-structured due to the quantity and range of events on the programme. The overall mix between practical and informative sessions was good.
The atmosphere was really open and friendly which made it very easy to ask the questions you wanted answered and also in terms of approaching senior partners to listen to their advice.
We didn't have that much training, but rather opporutnities to apply the skills we had to different situations. We did have a sessions on how to get the most out of the assessment centre which were very hepful.
There was nearly a whole afternoon dedicated to presentations and Q&A sessions with Pwc employees from different service lines. This ran over by almost an hour and in the end was slightly cut off so I fell more time could have been allocated to this session, yet it was still very helpful.
The emphasis on company culture was very strong and each of the Pwc reprresentatives included this aspect as part of their presentation.
It was incredibly helpful, all the talks were very detailed. However, this was only insight, we weren't able to experience the sort of work done by Pwc.
Everything Else
Food and accomodation was all included, and travel reimbursed.
Yes, there was a networking eventt every evening with recent graduates through to senior partners.
The was an event every evening, as well as a chance to network at mealtimes.
There was no specific detail given on this but I was ablee to find out for myself by asking individuals.
I would definitely reccomend this to a friend who is interested in professional services but unsure of which business stream they want to enter.
