  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • Thoroughly enjoyable and very informative day

    • Very personalised event, provided with a name badge on arrival and was spoken to by many members of the firm,

    • During the tasks we were allocated with a current trainee to aid us in our work - a very useful source of information.

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

    • The day actually convinced me that I would really love to work for the firm and therefore I sent in an application the same week

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?

    • programme was provided on arrival and was stuck to throughout the day. Speeches and presentations were well organised in order to fit timely into the schedule of the day

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?

    • All members of staff at the firm were very welcoming and willing to answer all questions. I felt that throughout the day there was a feeling of friendliness and openness; something that I have not experienced at all other open days I have attended.

    • Not really applicable for this sort of event, however my transport costs were covered and lunch was provided.

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?

    • I felt as though I was able to find out lots of information to gather a real sense of the firm and the work they do.

    • Fantastic to walk around the office and talk to the staff to get a sense of the values and type of people in the offices.

    • I was reimbursed expences

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?

    • Over lunch, trainees at the firm were available to talk. There was also a session to ask trainees any questions. Throughout the day there were presentations with question time at the end also.

    • very pleasant people to converse with and plenty of time to ask all the questions.

    • information was given regarding social events and other clubs that can be joined at the firm.

    • For anyone considering this career path I would certainly encourage them to attend events such as this one!
