    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • It was excellent, engaging and informative.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • The business game was a great way of getting us to interact with the firm in a way that let us feel what the firm's culture is like.

    5/5

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • The informal and approachable nature of trainees and recruiters made me feel that I would be well supported if I were to join the firm.

    5/5

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The business game scenario was excellent preparation for commercial awareness interview components, as well as giving us a good idea of the sort of skills the firm is looking for.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • The balance of presentations and activities I felt maximised the relatively brief amount of time we spent at the open day - it went quickly, yet it was remarkable how much was fitted in.

    5/5

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • The people at the firm as well as fellow attendees were friendly and lively people and helped reassure me that this was the sort of culture I would enjoy developing within.

    5/5

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • The number of trainees and time committed to us made me feel that Taylor Wessing takes it hires seriously and that in turn, I would be a valued team member.

    5/5

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • The amount that can be fit into a single day is limited and there was not, say, a negotiation workshop. Nonetheless it was valuable to prioritise a commercial awareness activity and was more than I expected from an open day.

    5/5

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?
  • See previous comments. Very much so!

    5/5

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?
  • After the open day, I cannot imagine how anyone would be able to apply convincingly without the access afforded to us and I would recommend this opportunity to anyone interested in the firm.

    5/5

    Everything Else

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?
  • Very reasonable, and efficiently administered right at the start of the event.

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • Plenty. Lunch was a great way to meet trainees informally and get a sense of the sort of people the firm was looking to hire.

    5/5

  • 13. How were the networking/ social event opportunities?
  • See previous question.

    5/5

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?
  • Limited scope for this admittedly, though might have been nice to elaborate further on the various international and pro bono opportunities.

    5/5

  • 15. Would you recommend this insight to a friend?
  • Absolutely! As I said I can't imagine how one could apply convincingly without it.

    5/5
