About You
I very much enjoyed the Open Day at Taylor Wessing. It was a well organised day, full of very useful guidance, insights and information.
I felt very valued throughout the Open Day. In particular, I was grateful to Sarah Harte for being really lovely and approachable. In addition, I felt very valued because two very lovely partners were proactively involved throughout the Open Day. This demonstrated the importance and value that Taylor Wessing places on it's candidates.
We were given a lot of guidance throughout the day. In particular, we were given a number of presentations. These were really useful not only for providing an insight into Taylor Wessing as a whole but they were also useful for providing insight into different practice groups.
The Open Day has developed my understanding of an international law firm and the importance of being commercially aware. I must say that the business game was the highlight of the day! It was an incredibly useful opportunity to put our skills into practice and get valuable experience of an assessment centre style activity.
The Company
Very well structured indeed! There were a range of different activities from presentations to a business game. We were able to speak to different members of the firm, including partners, trainees and Sarah Harte.
Lovely! I felt very welcome by everyone that I met on the day.
Although this was an Open Day, I think that through arranging a business game Taylor Wessing had put a lot of effort into providing us with opportunities.
The Open Day was a real insight into what it might feel like working at Taylor Wessing, of course this cannot be compared to a Vacation Scheme, but I think it was definitely a very good reflection of the firm generally.
I felt confident that Taylor Wessing has an approachable, collegiate and progressive culture. I felt well 'connected' with the firm's representative.
The content of the day was of a high standard. We had a presentation on Taylor Wessing, a graduate recruitment presentation by two partners (Amar Ali and Kirstie McGuigan), presentation by Sarah Harte on applications, lunch with trainees, a business game and final networking session.
Everything Else
Travel expenses were reimbursed for those who it applied to.
There were numerous networking opportunities, in particular through lunch with trainees and the final networking session after the presentations of the business game.
I enjoyed the networking sessions because we had the opportunity to meet a range of different individuals, in particular we met numerous different trainees. Each gave their views on training at the firm.
Yes, trainees were really useful for giving this information.
Definitely! It was a worthwhile day.
