The Role
Both departments I worked in were very welcoming and keen to offer responsibility. I was also able to gain thorough experience of the product range and my colleagues were very good at building a pride in the company. I particularly enjoyed attending the IRC Rally of Scotland and the Goodwood Festival of Speed which gave me an opportunity to showcase my knowledge and feel part of a fantastic brand.
During my time at Peugeot I made a lot of friends and felt genuinely valued by almost everyone I came in to contact with. Good social side to the company and some fantastic people to work with. Everyone was more than willing to take time to help me out when I needed it
The managers of both my placements were fantastic - I cannot praise them enough. Very good leaders who were keen to impart knowledge and experience yet were also very receptive to my ideas and input
Month end was very busy and March and September (plate-change months) were especially busy. Plenty of work available and lots of opportunity to expand your knowledge of the industry.
Managers very keen to hand out responsibility and to offer support when needed. Allowed me to follow my own train of thought and present ideas and were very supportive of this
My placement gave me a very good work ethic which I hope to take into my final year of University. My analytical skills were expanded and training courses were provided to work on self management and management of others. Very supportive of any desire to learn and acquire a new skill.
The Company
Very good working culture but everyone is also keen to have a laugh. Staff and placement students are trusted to work hard whilst enjoying their time in the office.
Very well organised including pre-induction and inductions. Large placement scheme so you get to know peers well in and out of work.
Generic and specific training available. Three training modules completed during the placement but management can apply to send you on extra if they think it will aid you in your role at the company

International Travel
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Very good graduate scheme and opportunities to progress through the company
The Culture
Large placement scheme so there is always chance to get to know people in the same situation. The company try to facilitate this at the beginning but there is scope for a good social scene throughout the year
Coventry can be an expensive place to live compared to where I lived before (Newcastle)
Coventry is not brilliant but Birmingham is a short train/bus ride away
Social scene very good and people are very keen to help you find sports clubs if you want. Weekly football club is available if you would like to get involved
