    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Both departments I worked in were very welcoming and keen to offer responsibility. I was also able to gain thorough experience of the product range and my colleagues were very good at building a pride in the company. I particularly enjoyed attending the IRC Rally of Scotland and the Goodwood Festival of Speed which gave me an opportunity to showcase my knowledge and feel part of a fantastic brand.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • During my time at Peugeot I made a lot of friends and felt genuinely valued by almost everyone I came in to contact with. Good social side to the company and some fantastic people to work with. Everyone was more than willing to take time to help me out when I needed it

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • The managers of both my placements were fantastic - I cannot praise them enough. Very good leaders who were keen to impart knowledge and experience yet were also very receptive to my ideas and input

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Month end was very busy and March and September (plate-change months) were especially busy. Plenty of work available and lots of opportunity to expand your knowledge of the industry.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Managers very keen to hand out responsibility and to offer support when needed. Allowed me to follow my own train of thought and present ideas and were very supportive of this

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • My placement gave me a very good work ethic which I hope to take into my final year of University. My analytical skills were expanded and training courses were provided to work on self management and management of others. Very supportive of any desire to learn and acquire a new skill.

    4/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Very good working culture but everyone is also keen to have a laugh. Staff and placement students are trusted to work hard whilst enjoying their time in the office.

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Very well organised including pre-induction and inductions. Large placement scheme so you get to know peers well in and out of work.

    4/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Generic and specific training available. Three training modules completed during the placement but management can apply to send you on extra if they think it will aid you in your role at the company

    5/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Subsidised Canteen

    Subsidised/Company Gym

    National Travel

    International Travel

    Company Parties/Events

  • Very good graduate scheme and opportunities to progress through the company

    4/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Large placement scheme so there is always chance to get to know people in the same situation. The company try to facilitate this at the beginning but there is scope for a good social scene throughout the year

    4/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Coventry can be an expensive place to live compared to where I lived before (Newcastle)

    4/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Coventry is not brilliant but Birmingham is a short train/bus ride away

    4/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
