The Role
Hard to say it was different from week to week, depending on jobs i was doing. if working with patients better than if doin admin work
They really appricaited anyhting i did for them as it meant less work for them or additional materails for patients who would not have got it if i wasnt there
When in office was very helpful, although as manager was away alot on courses or working in different hospitals
this definantly varied. it went from bored with nothing to do, to having to organise things well
i was given responsibility to certain degree, but as unqualified not allowed to do many things
my communication and organsational skills improved increadibly as well as overall confidence. it has given me faith in myslef to be able to do things for myself and to be a respected team member.
The Company
Alot of lone working due to nature of the work. but everyone was friendly and approachable when were together
They had no idea what to do with a student most the time. i think this is because they had never had a long term student before, only students on monthly rotas. Once settled in they accommodated me well. i have now seen more students come and it is alot better set up from student pack i have provided.
As a placement student there was no training available as no money in budget. I was a vounterry unpaid placement student, only paid expenses
Subsidised Canteen
Healthcare/Dental
I am now employed here over the summer as an admin assistant. If i choose this as a career i would love to come back and work here
The Culture
although there was other students within the team during my time, we were rarely in the same hospital.
i lived at home, as didnt have salary for rent
Its average, but as lived here all my life used to main areas
no activities were publicised in particular
