  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • The insight provided a fantastic overview of the different areas within Blackrock, with the opportunity to speak to people in the various areas. Also, activities in each of the different sectors were provided, making the experience enjoyable and increasing understanding of these sectors.

    • Each member felt valuable as someone who could potentially be a Blackrock employee in the future, and their opinions on each matter where considered.

    • The insight provided significant insight in each activity, first increasing our understanding of relevant areas and ideas before letting us complete the task.

    • The skills developed will assist in my degree studies in that it testing my understanding of what is going on in financial markets, as well as applying analytical skills. The information received will also help determine future career choices.

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?

    • The insight was extremely well structured and ran to schedule. An overview of the day and of the firm was first given. This was followed by an opportunity to find out more about each area of the firm before activities in each.

    • The general atmosphere was fantastic, with each existing employee very helpful in answering questions and providing support.

    • Employees from each division gave up their time in order to explain their roles and in order to make the activities as beneficial as possible.

    • It definitely did through speaking to people working in each role in the company and activities related to some of these roles.

    • It definitely did through speaking to people working in each role and listening to their experiences of the company culture and how they enjoy working for the firm.

    • It was very valuable in providing information about asset management and Blackrock in particular. Also, it was valuable in determining which division in Blackrock was ideal.

    • I was reimbursed expenses and not paid.

    • Yes, there was 45 mins with employees from many different areas of the firm and this was extremely beneficial.
