About You
It was really great, they gave us group exercises to help develop our team building skills; along with giving us greater exposure to the financial services industry.
As my first insight into PwC, I was very impressed by the service they gave us, along with providing us with all the information we needed to know about PwC's culture and courses.
PwC were very supportive during the insight day, giving us a clear structure and introduction to the programme, whilst allowing us to ask any relevant open questions we had to a panel of employees.
PwC gave us an insight into the basic structure of the firm, in addition to the values of the firm and how to get an edge on other competing students when applying to insight/work experience programmes or a job at PwC.
The Company
PwC delivered a very structured programme, but at the same time allowed us to show independence and flair in the group exercises.
The atmosphere was supportive, professional and inspiring. The employees treated us like adults - very much selling the company as a whole.
In terms of personal training and development, there wasn't much due to limited time (one day of insight). Despite this, they discussed in detail what PwC had to offer us in the coming years of our careers (i.e. different divisions), and the jobs that may be suited to us as individuals.
The insight day at PwC would allow a good exposure to the culture of the firm, however more time (i.e. a few more days looking around the different devisions within the firm may have aided this).
The culture of PwC, was very friendly and professional. Which as a result, inspired me to work at PwC even more. Perhaps visiting the different divisions within the firm (and spoken to more employees) would have helped learn more about the culture of PwC.
By giving a clear outline of the different divisions within PwC (from a panel of employees), allowed us to think more about which part of the firm would suit us more as individuals.
Everything Else
I was reimbursed for my travel, but no pay.
There was a panel, but no networking event.
Group activities were the only times we could get to know the other students at the event. There was no networking offered to us.
Unfortunately we didnt.
Yes, it gives a great insight into the culture and different divisions within PwC. The panel will allow you to ask questions, and therefore help to decide which division is most suited to you from first hand experience.
